Gamera vs. Barugon (大怪獣激闘 ガメラ対バルゴン COMIC VERSION?, lit. Giant Monster Battle: Gamera vs. Barugon - COMIC VERSION) is a 2003 manga written and illustrated by Kazuhisa Kondo and published by Daikaijū Gekitō Gamera tai Barugon Komikku BājonKadokawa. It is based on the 1966 film of the same name, but set in the continuity of Shusuke Kaneko's trilogy, between the events of Gamera 2: Attack of the Legion and Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris.
The novelization Seijū Senki - Shiroi Kage (聖獣戦記 白い影, lit. Holy Beast War Chronicle: White Shadow) by Shinichiro Inoue (Kadokawa representative director) used storylines of Heisei trilogy and the 2003 comic, and Barugon, representing the Azure Dragon of the Four Gods akin to the 2003 comic, appeared and was controlled by a gokenin named Iekiyo Ryūzōji with a magatama. Ryūzōji summoned Barugon to stop Jiger which represents the White Tiger and was initially summoned by Kotaro Tsushima with a magatama to defeat Mongolian armies during the Mongol invasions of Japan in 1281, but lost its control and attacked Japanese armies. The two battled in Sea of Japan, and were presumably stopped by Gamera summoned by Nichiren.
