Matt Frank is an American artist and writer. He first became known among kaiju fans for his Godzilla Neo project on DeviantArt, a series of redesigns and stories about Toho's many kaiju set in a single continuity.


Biography[]

His artwork has been featured in G-Fan magazine in more then one occasion as well as designing one of the covers of the magazine. He also provided the line art for the Gfantis comic series for G-Fan Magazine, as well as the cover art for five of the IDW comics, including Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters, Godzilla: Gangsters and Goliaths, Godzilla: Legends, Godzilla: Ongoing, and Godzilla: Rulers of Earth.

In addition, he has done covers for the Ray Harryhausen present's Back To Mysterious Island and It Came From Beneath the Sea Again as well as having his one shot comic Wrath Of the Titans: Cyclops. He also provided the monster designs for Back to Mysterious Island.

He made concept art for Colossal Kaiju Combat, and was a main artist and writer for Godzilla: Rulers of Earth.

Godzilla Neo[]

Matt's fan fiction, the Godzilla Neo Project, is a series of pictures and information that completely reworks the Toho universe and the Godzilla films into one easy-to-follow continuum, is some of the work he's best known by.

The Last Hope[]

Matt Frank is working on The Last Hope, an American Gamera doujinshi to celebrate Gamera's 50th anniversary.

Arrow Video Gamera Boxset[]

Matt Frank did all the artwork for Arrow Videos Gamera Boxset.


Kaiju Redesign Series[]

Matt Frank and Sophie Cambell are currently doing a Kaiju Redesign series, they redesign kaiju on significant days like that Kaijus birthday. It currently consists of Gyaos, Godzilla and Gamera.
