Shinpei Hayashiya (林家しん平 Hayashiya Shinpei?), born Chiaki Tsunakawa (綱川千秋 Tsunakawa Chiaki?), is a Japanese rakugoka, actor, and independent filmmaker. he started directing kaiju fan films in the early 2000s notably Gamera 4: Truth, Deep Sea Monster Reigo, and Deep Sea Monster Raiga.
Biography[]
after watching Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris Hayashiya decided to make a sequel to the film due to the unfinished events of Gamera 3 he asked Daiei for the rights for Gamera they gave him the rights with a small budget for the film of $2500.00[1] Hayashiya recruited several friends to help act in his film, Daiei also stated that "He may now get an official release of his film". After his project was finished Hayashiya made three other kaiju films Deep Sea Monster Reigo and later the two Raiga films, Deep Sea Monster Raiga and God Raiga vs. King Ohga: War of the Monsters.
