The Zanon (ザノン号 Zanon-Gō?) or the Pirate Spaceship Zanon (宇宙海賊船ザノン号 Uchū Kaizokusen Zanon-Gō?) is a massive pirate spacecraft which first appeared in the 1980 Daiei film, Gamera: Super Monster.

It is equipped with a laser cannon at its head which can snipe individuals on the Earth from outer space.

Gamera: Super Monster[]
After revealing his plans to invade the Earth, the Captain of the Zanon released a group of weaponized kaiju including Gyaos, Zigra, Viras, Jiger, Guiron and Barugon, and also briefly utilized a mind-control device released from the ship to control Gamera. After Gamera defeated all of the monsters, Giruge arrived to fight the Spacewomen personally, but was defeated by them and chose to defect after she was spared by the heroes. Unfortunately, this didn't last long, as the Zanon killed Giruge using a laser beam. Then the spaceship flew into battle to kill Gamera, but was destroyed after Gamera sacrificed himself by slamming into the massive ship which was much bigger than him, and detonating it.

- Zanon's appearance is nearly identical to that of an Imperial Star Destroyer from the Star Wars franchise.
- A possible reference to Zanon was planned for the scrapped Gamera anime in 2006 by Yoshitomo Yonetani while the spacecraft by Yonetani is labelled with the letters "Black Tortoise" (玄武 Genbu?) on it, presumably referring to Gamera.[1]
