Zatoichi's Conspiracy (新座頭市物語・笠間の血祭り?, lit. New Zatoichi Tale: The Kasama Blood Festival) is a 1973 Japanese Shin Zatōichi monogatari: Kasama no chimatsuritokusatsu eiga (special effects movie) featuring Zatoichi who returns to his hometown. Unfortunately, he finds that a childhood friend has become a feared crime lord, keeping the locals in debt and bilking them of their rice.
Plot[]
The city came to Kasama-juku on the Mito Kaido, where he was born. On the same day, in Kasama, a childhood friend of the city, Hitachiya Shinbei, a rice wholesaler who went out to Edo and did not make a brocade in his hometown, and Futen's young people, friends, lilies, gen, Hide and Jun also came. It is said that Shinbei visited the Senryo box as a souvenir in order to save the people in his hometown who are suffering from bad harvests, so all the village heads, including Shobei, are welcome. Around that time, the city reunited with the potter Sakubei. Sakubei remembered the city's naughty era. And the oshige that the city had been breastfed and raised was already dead, and her house was all-you-can-eat with no inhabitants. The Futen quintet came in and started making a fuss. On the other hand, Shinbei's real aim is to work with Iwagoro Kagata, the boss of Shichi, and Gonemon Hayashida, the daikan, to cheat the brood parasite of the annual tribute rice and carry the stored rice to Edo to make a lot of money. It was. A city that knows their tactics with the keen sense of the blind but does not want to pollute their homeland with blood decides to leave. At that time, an explosion occurred at Shinbei's own quarry. Shobei offered to Shinbei's violent way, but Shobei was hurt on the contrary and hung himself. The city, where the sack of Kannin was cut off, rampaged at Iwagoro's gambling ground and set off a challenge to Shinbei and Hayashida. However, Shinbei has taken away Shobei's granddaughter, Omiyo. When Omiyo was pressed by Shinbei, the city that rushed to him for a moment was slashing one after another with an angry swordstick...
